Ceiling Metal

Metal ceilings coat extremely well  as can be seen in the pictures above showing a perforated ceiling which we successfully coated at Dublin Airport.

Existing Metal Ceilings

Metal ceilings such as Burgess, Magnagrid and Luxalon provide indefinite life mechanically but the effects of environmental pollution, general soiling and oxidisation contributes to an often unacceptable ceiling surface.

Conventional Solutions - Painting, Cleaning or Replacing

The use of general decorating practises, i.e. standard paints, will not restore the appearance of the ceiling metal. The physical properties of the ceiling metal tiles will be irreparably changed, blocking perforations, bridging tiles sticking them to each other or grid sections, the fire rating may also be affected.
Cleaning will rarely provide an acceptable visual standard for ceilings in metal.
Replacement is expensive and if only partial, this creates an unsightly contrast between old and new  metal ceiling tiles giving a checkerboard look to the metal ceiling.

Metal Ceiling Spray Painting Service

The only system which effectively solves the problems associated with dirty metal ceilings is CeilBlock CBC110 metal ceiling spray applied restoration coating. CeilBlock provides a cost effective surface refurbishment.
The use of spray applied CeilBlock on metal ceilings will restore a consistent visual finish, generally resistant to soiling. A variety of colours (BS and RAL) available upon request.

Service To The Client

The on site metal ceiling spraying service usually takes place outside of normal working hours. The area is masked and protected with a variety of tapes and continuous polythene sheeting covering lights, walls, floors, furniture, etc. There is no need to remove any furniture. The metal ceiling is then sprayed in-situ.
The area treated can be reoccupied immediately after application and de-masking as all our products are water based and environmentally safe. There is no disruption to normal working routine.

Ceilings can be a breeding ground for bacteria!

If required, an anti microbial agent can be added to your ceiling coatings.
This provides protection and sanitation against the growth of bacteria, mould, fungi, mycelium, spirea, e-coli, salmonella, sick building syndrome, etc.
